our projects
Money raised through WFCSA initiatives like membership sales, sponsor a goal, 50/50 draws and merchandise sales through Rebel Yell is put towards various projects in the WFCSA and for the fan experience at Woodside Road. Find out where some of the money raised recently has gone:
2020
accessible toilet
The WFCSA contributed £1500 towards the refurbishment of the accessibl toilet located in front of the boardroom.
2020
food kiosk shutter
A new, secure, safe shutter was needed for the Shed End food kiosk and the WFCSA contributed £1500 towards the cost of fitting a new one ensuring fans and staff had a safe and secure area to purchase food and drink
2020
futures bright
The WFCSA donated a sizeable amount of £4000 towards the Futures Bright projected Worthing FC launched for ground improvements during the pandemic.
2016
disabled cover
The WFCSA paid for a retractable awning to ensure fans sitting in our disabled section will be sheltered from bad weather
2019
Rebel yell
In 2019 the WFCSA Sub Committee set up a successful Fanzine which sold very well in the season before covid. This then presented the opportunity to launch a fan led commentary service and podcast. From the 24/25 season, Worthing FC has taken over the commentary service leaving the Podcast independent and still part of the WFCSA. New equipment was purchased to enable the start of live podcasts from 24/25 season where members will be able to attend
2022
WFCSA TraveL
When Worthing FC decided to stop organising and running coach travel for away games, the WFCSA stepped in and now provides a regular and affordable way to travel. New from the 24/25 season members will have the chance to advance purchase seats as well as earn credit in a new loyalty scheme.
2023
South stand seats
To ensure the club met National League ground grading standards, capacity was required to be increased in the South Stand. The WFCSA donated £1000 to cover the cost of these new seats.
2024
Womens highlights
Womens' highlights for YouTube were dropped by the club for the 24/25 season. WFCSA Committee members voted to support the team by paying for home game highlights supplied by YIR
2024
Womens' substitute board
The Womens' team did not have a substitute board for the 24/25 season so to improve the fan and team experience the WFCSA Committee voted to supply the team with a new board to use.
2024
WORthing food foundation
Rebel Yell's football shirt project, with local artists Two Faced Twins, included a percentage of each sale benefitting Worthing Food Foundation. This was donated to them in December 2024. Other projects benefitting WFF are a raffle at The Rebel Yell Podcast Live as well as a food bank drive pre Christmas
